I have never been interested in DJing the wedding or event that sounds like every other wedding.
Every choice at your wedding should be intentional. The song playing when the doors open. The exact minute the room stops talking and starts moving. The way your dad's favorite record lands in the middle of a set built for your friends. None of that is a template I reuse from last Saturday. I founded SCE Event Group in 2009, and the reason couples end up with me is that I build the night around who they actually are, not around what worked at somebody else's wedding.
The work has taken me places I did not plan for, including being cast in the 2026 Netflix series The Golden Ticket. I have played the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl championship celebration on a stage with Cardi B and Diplo, worked events featuring Martha Stewart, Melissa Gorga of the Real Housewives of NJ, LMFAO, Jimmy Kimmel, Kanye West, Mike Gesicki, and Julius Erving, and produced nights for L'Oreal, Ford, Bloomingdale's, StableCon, The State of New Jersey, Allstate, SnapOn Tools, Mobile Beat Magazine, VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Mercedes Benz, Google Victoria, NBC Universal, and Nestle.
I am not telling you that to impress you. I am telling you because a room full of strangers and a hard out at midnight teaches you how to read people under pressure, and that is the exact skill I am using when it is 10:40, and your cousin wants a song that will empty your floor.
What that looks like before your wedding date is a real conversation. We talk about the music you grew up on, the songs you would be embarrassed to admit you love, the parts of a wedding you have sat through and decided you never want at your own. I build from that. Then on the night I watch the room and adjust in real time, because every plan holds until the first thing goes differently than expected, and something always does. Reading that moment correctly is the entire job.
